The Directorate of Advanced Studies & Research (DASR) is responsible for managing, facilitating, and ensuring the quality of postgraduate and doctoral research at the University. Its core functions include:

Postgraduate Program Management

  • Implementing graduate rules and regulations for MPhil/MS and PhD programs.
  • Facilitating admissions to postgraduate research programs.
Research Proposal and Supervision Management

  • Processing and approving research synopses and proposals.
  • Approving and notifying supervisors and supervisory committees.
  • Processing changes in research titles, supervisors, and co-supervisors.
Thesis Evaluation and Examination Coordination

  • Coordinating thesis submission, defense, and evaluation processes.
  • Appointing and notifying internal and external examiners.
  • Ensuring plagiarism-free, ethical, and authentic research practices.
  • Administration of Doctoral Comprehensive Examination
Monitoring and Degree Award

  • Monitoring research progress and ensuring timely degree completion.
  • Notifying degree awards upon successful completion.
Capacity Building and Research Development

  • Arranging research training, workshops, and capacity-building programs.
  • Establishing and strengthening intra-university research collaborations.
  • Facilitating inter-university, national, and international research partnerships for research scholars and faculty.
